Kettle Valley Winery

Kettle Valley Winery is one of the oldest on the Bench, being issued only the third winery license for the area way back in 1992. Keeping things modest, the tasting room is located in the garage they used to make wine in during those early days.

Joie Farm Winery

Celebrating the ‘art of good living,’ JoieFarm has one of the larger acreages on the Naramata Bench. Taking a fairly non-interventionist approach towards winemaking, the self-taught owner sways towards Burgundian varietals such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Gamay plus Alsatian varietals like Riesling and Gewürztraminer.

Van Westen Vineyards

Any fans of big, bold reds should make a beeline for Van Westen. Despite having over 50 years of farming tradition, the Van Westen family are unpretentiousness and enthusiastic about making great wine.

Elephant Island Winery

Named after what was originally believed to be a ‘white elephant’ venture, this long-standing winery is a Naramata Bench icon. Family-owned Elephant Island Winery is also one of the most unique local wineries, producing both premium fruit and grape-based wine. The same hardworking team also runs Naramata Cider Co.

The ‘Deep Roots’ in question are the Hardman family’s 100+ years of experience farming the Naramata Bench. As many as four generations of family members have toiled land locally!

Lake Breeze Vineyards

Perched high on a hill overlooking Okanagan Lake, visiting the sprawling Mediterranean inspired complex of Lake Breeze is like stepping into a little piece of Italy. The first wines on this property were planted in 1985, making them some of the oldest on the Naramata Bench.

Lang Vineyards

Opening in 1990, Lang Vineyards is British Columbia’s first ‘farm gate’ winery. Despite humble beginnings, the winery has grown substantially and consistently produces an array of high quality, well-crafted wines.

MOCOJO Winery

Hosting one of the best views from any winery on the Naramata Bench, Mocojo’s has some tasty wines to match. Lovingly owned and operated by the Oh family, the winery is named after their three children (the first two initials from each in birth order).

Moraine Estate Winery

Located right on Naramata Road, Moraine is one of the most convenient Naramata Bench wineries to visit. It’s also one of the most impressive, with the grand wine shop and tasting room offering unrestricted panoramas of the surrounding vineyards and Okanagan Lake.

Bench 1775 Winery

Named after the address of the winery, Bench 1775 is easy to locate on Naramata Road. Bench 1775 is best known for its spectacular patio overlooking Okanagan Lake. And spectacular it truly is!
