Without a doubt, Play Estate Winery is one of the most scenic urban wineries in the Okanagan Valley! Situated at the top of a high vineyard slope on the southern side of Penticton, this winery offers gorgeous views of Skaha Lake and surrounding vineyards.
The name of the winery is a nod to theatre and the arts. Play has a classic style, focusing on fresh and elegant wines. The wine shop interior, in turn, is modern with clean, bright lines.
Sonetto is Play Estate Winery’s restaurant. Firmly Italian in theme, the menu showcases delectable pasta, seafood, meat and bread dishes. And, of course, the wine selection showcases the winery’s offerings. I’d recommend having a tasting before your meal to narrow down the options first.
The best views at Sonetto are found on the patio (see above photo), though the interior restaurant boasts stunning floor-to-ceiling windows.
