An iconic Naramata Bench winery, Red Rooster specialises in approachable yet well-crafted premium wines. Despite being owned by wine giant Andrew Peller (Sandhill, Tinhorn Creek, Gray Monk), the winery still retains a distinctively independent identity.
Red Rooster offers a wide choice of wine varieties with a Reserve line for cellaring. For this reason, it’s a great winery for groups with varied taste. The winery is also family friendly.
The tasting room is modern, grand and airy but also quirky, with a touch of the rooster theme where you least expect it. As of 2024, there are three tasting experiences. One that is receiving a lot of attention is the frozen wine experience, featuring Rosé and Riesling slushies.
Most tastings are conducted on the patio, overlooking the vineyards and Okanagan Lake. Facing east, the patio enjoys plenty of afternoon sun, despite being covered.
Beautiful grounds surround the tasting room and patio – expansive lawn space with statues, shady trees, vineyards and more. It’s a really wonderful place to be on a sunny day.
