Modesta Winery may be new to the Naramata Bench, but it’s already turning heads by doing things a little differently.
For starters, the tasting ‘room’ (launched in spring 2025) is more like a tasting amphitheatre, with multiple modern airy spaces looking out onto a spacious lawn bordered by vineyards and an Okanagan Lake view. It’s super chic yet surprisingly cosy, very relaxed and altogether very Naramata Bench!
Touring as a group or just want some extra privacy? Book an adults-only MODPOD – it’s same price as a regular tasting but you’ll get to enjoy the best views on the property in secluded space (up to 6/8 people in each MODPOD).

As for the wine, this family owned and operated winery is all about minimal intervention. They have 5 acres of grapes, with the tasting menu featuring a Rosé, Chardonnay and two Pinot Noirs. The current winemaker, Pascal Madevon, has extensive experience in both France across the Okanagan Valley.
There’s not a lot of parking on the property (4 spots), so prepare to park on the road when busy. Cycling or walking? Look for the Naramata Bench pull-out to the south of the property – there is a shortcut next to the vineyard.
