Marichel prioritises quality over quantity, specializing in small batches of just two classic Naramata Bench varietals – Viognier and Syrah.
The hands-on winemaker spends the majority of his time tending vines, ensuring the formation of fine wine. Low-impact and sustainable farming are the name of the game at Marichel.
If you’re looking for a small, intimate winery that is a little off the beaten path, Marichel Vineyards is an excellent choice. We’re usually alone or one of just two groups when tasting here.
The tasting room exudes Tuscan villa vibes, with yellow walls and a wide front door. The inside space feels like a farmhouse kitchen, with a large wooden communal table in front of a long counter.
Marichel’s patio exemplifies the beauty of the Naramata Bench, with outstanding views of Okanagan Lake and surrounding vineyards. Vines trail from the pergola above.
Small, intimate and extraordinarily beautiful, Marichel Vineyards is host to one of my favourite patios anywhere on the Bench.
