This hip bar/restaurant has a relaxed vibe, with rustic accents and a playful menu featuring upscale versions of pub favourites. Black Antler tops this happy hour list for one big reason – free wings with full priced drinks!

Here’s the happy hour lowdown:

  • 2oz martini – $7
  • 20oz lager – Antler lager

Kin & Folk

In my opinion, Kin & Folk is one of the coolest spots in Penticton, with a clean, modern look, interesting Asian fusion dishes and an comprehensive cocktail menu. Happy hour is a particularly great time to go to save some pennies.

Here’s the happy hour menu at Kin & Folk:

  • Choice of six discounted appetisers – bao buns, fries, wontons, fried rice
  • Three different ‘larger’ dishes – burgers, chicken katsu
  • Beers – $6 to $7

Match Eatery

Match is a restaurant/pub located at the Cascades Casino. But don’t discount it! Not only is the happy hour menu excellent, but Match has a rooftop patio with amazing mountain views. And if you like wine, this is the best deal in the city.

This dog friendly Penticton brewery has the most simple and straightforward happy hour in town. If you want an even better deal, consider combining it with one of the daily specials (wing Wednesdays, beef dip Fridays).

Local Public Eatery

Part of a large restaurant group, Local Public Eatery is situated adjacent to the Balcomo Hotel (Ramada) on Highway 97. The happy hour offerings are pretty decent, with the menu featuring some fun options. Take advantage of the sunny patio if you can.

  • 12oz house lager – $4.25
  • 12oz tap beer – $5.25
  • 5oz ‘mystery’ wine – $5.25

Local Public Eatery’s happy hour operates from 2pm to 5pm Monday to Saturday, then from 8pm to close Sunday to Thursday and 9pm to close on Friday and Saturday.

Dragonboat Pub

The Dragonboat Pub is a relative newcomer to the Penticton drinking/dining scene but is making an impression quickly due to its beautiful patio overlooking Skaha Lake. It’s a great place to celebrate the happiest hours!

  • Lager and Somersby cider – $5
  • 1oz highballs (gin, rye, rum, vodka) – $5

Socialē: This Italian inspired restaurant offers discounted tapas and drinks (cocktails, wine, local beer) during ‘Tappy Hour’ – 3pm to 5pm and from 9pm to close, every day of the week.

Palmer Kitchen + Spirits: Hotel restaurant with amazing rooftop patio! Happy hour menu is available from 4.30pm to 7.30pm and features discounts on house wine, local craft beer (16oz), a few cocktails and six different dishes

The Hub on Martin: Best known for live music and other events, the Hub has happy hour deals from 3pm to 6pm on weekdays. Discounts are offered on lager, house wine and highballs, special $10 appetiser menu.

Orolo Restaurant at Time Winery: This upscale winery restaurant has a special happy hour food menu and discounts on 6oz glasses of wine, with local beer and cocktails also available. 4pm to 5pm every day.

Salty’s Beach House: It’s happy hour every day from 2pm to 5pm and then 9pm to close at this very popular waterfront bar and restaurant. There are discounts on a good range of meals, beer and cocktails. Half price bottles of wine as well!

Pasta Factory: Enjoy discounted appetisers at this long time Penticton favourite, alongside lager, wine bottles and glasses of house wine. Available 3pm to 5pm on weekdays only.

Earls – Casual chain restaurant with happy hour from 3pm to 5pm and 9pm to close every day. Large choice of discounted cocktails, highballs, beer, wine, pizza, noodle bowls and appetisers.

White Spot – Discounted appetisers, wings, ribs, wine and beer available at this BC chain restaurant from 2pm to 5pm and 8pm to close. Happy hour specials are available every day of the week.
