One of the newest additions to the Naramata Bench, Chain Reaction Winery is both exceptionally convenient for visitors and also incredibly scenic. The estate vineyard is just above Naramata Road – look for the distinctive purple sign!
Despite their relatively recent arrival to the area, BC-born and bred owners Joel and Linda Chamaschuk are making major waves, spearheading the brand new (and hopefully annual) Naramata Bench Winterfest and Big Hearts, Small Bites events.
Warm-weather wine tastings are usually held on the covered patio in front of the wine shop. While the winery is only a little above the road, the views of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding vineyards are surprisingly spectacular from here. It’s quiet too! We find the rosé to be the highlight of the collection.
The winery’s name has a threefold meaning. The owners are keen cyclists (and triathlon competitors) and were led to the Naramata Bench by a chain reaction of events, and, of course, there is a chain reaction when wine is made!
As of 2024, Chain Reaction Winery has a Neapolitan-style pizzeria. The pizzas are made with homemade dough and baked in a wood-fired oven. There are currently seven variety available for dine-in only.
