With a touch of bohemian style and plenty of puns, Crescent Hill Winery is the ideal destination for people who don’t take life too seriously. This family-owned winery is located just south of town, perched above Skaha Lake Park.
A love of wine (and fun) runs through the generations here, with the current owner’s grandfather smuggling 100% pure clones from Europe in his suitcase back in the 1970s. Though his own winery vision didn’t work out, Tysha Pope now lives the dream for him.
And what a winery dream it is! The small wine shop/tasting room enjoys beautiful views across a sloping vineyard. The wine collection spans almost twenty different varietals and blends. And, of course, some of the vines are almost 50 years old!
Expect a passionate, chatty tasting with a wide selection of wines to choose from. The names are playfully imaginative, a theme that continues to the labels as well. The owners (and winery team) are very friendly, so much so that some people say that it feels like meeting an old friend.
