Pentâge Winery

Pentâge Winery is the epitome of a hidden gem. Perched just above Skaha Lake and surrounded by vineyards, the winery feels like a world away from the city. And yet it is only 10 minutes drive south of downtown!

Located on a narrow winding road, Pentâge Winery is not the kind of place you just pass by accident. Those who make the effort to reach the winery will find a small but welcoming tasting room with handcrafted, premium wines. Fans of bold flavours will likely enjoy the range of pre-aged reds.

Wine tastings are usually held in the industrial-esque tasting room, though the large garage doors help keep everything cool in summer. Guests can enjoy wine on the scenic patio or even a picnic in the designated area. Both the tastings and picnic area run on a first-come, first-serve system.

One of the most unique aspects of Pentâge is the winery’s 5,000-square-foot natural rock wine cellar. This huge enclosed space took eleven years for the owner to plan and dig out! Not only spacious the rock cellar is also naturally climate-controlled.

While tours are not currently offered, it is usually possible to take a peek through the massive glass doors at the entrance. It is a working area, however, so keep clear staff and machinery.
